كانت حديقة الأزبكية قلب القاهرة الأخضر لأكثر من قرن. على طول السياج على الجانب الجنوبي ، نشأ أحد أكبر أسواق الكتب في الشرق الأدنى على شكل العديد من أكشاك السوق الخشبية ذات الألوان المتعددة "سور الأزبكية". تم تسويق وتبادل ملايين الكتب هناك قبل أن يسلم المتنزه لبناء مبانٍ حديثة في وسط مدينة القاهرة. تم تسمية الموقع في ذكرى ذلك الموقع التاريخي للمعرفة.The Azbakia Park has been the green heart of Cairo for over a century. Along its fence on the Southern side, one of the biggest book markets of the Near East came into being in form of a multitude of wooden market stalls of many colors "Soor El-Azbakia". Millions of books have been marketed and exchanged there before the park yielded to the construction of modern buildings in the center of the City of Cairo. The website has been named in memory of that historical location of knowledge.
